Indian Panorama Film Festival

(PUBLIC SCREENING OF INDIAN PANORAMA 2016 FILMS)
16th - 27th January 2017, Siri Fort Auditorium II, New Delhi

Inauguration of the Indian Panorama Film Festival was held in New Delhi on 16th January, 2017 at 6:00 pm. All the films selected in the Indian Panorama 2016, as part of the 47th International Film Festival of India, are screened for the Public during the festival. Organized by the Directorate of Film Festivals, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting at Siri Fort Auditorium Complex, 26 Feature Films and 21 Non-Feature Films are screening during this 11 days festival.

The festival was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister of state for Information & Broadcasting Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore (retd.), AVSM in the gracious presence of Mrs. Jayashree Mukherjee Addl Secretary MoI&B, Shri Akshay Singh, (director), Shri Bobo Khuraijam (director) and Ms. Sulagna Panigrahi (actress).

The festival opened with the Documentary film Ima Sabitri directed by Bobo Khuraijam and Hindi feature film Pinky Beauty Parlour directed by Akshay Singh.

Along with Indian Panorama Film Festival 2017, DFF screened a package of films of Late Om Puri to pay tribute to the legendary actor. A series of five iconic films on Om Puri was screened from 17th – 21st January in Siri Fort Auditorium III at 6 pm. This was to commemorate the journey of his life as an actor and an iconic figure in Indian Film Industry, who have brought films closer to actuality to his countrymen.
